Opportunity
Triagen Farms is looking for interesting and reliable Chaser Bin Drivers/Farm Hands to join thier team for the 2025 crop season, starting in October 2025. This season may also provide an opportunity for an extension after the work is completed if the work and need are appropriate. As an important part of our crop team, you will work together with experienced operators to complete the crop work profitably and successfully.
Responsibilities
- Chaser-less work: Operating the tractor without a chaser in a safe and secure manner so that the crop can be transported from the harvester to the storage.
- Machinery use and maintenance: Operating and maintaining various heavy-duty machinery, such as tractors, on a daily basis so that it works in an efficient manner.
- Farm facilities maintenance: Keeping the farm’s storage and machinery sheds clean and organized so that the work environment is safe.
- Team work: Working together with the crop team, sorting out issues, and maintaining high operational standards.
- Safety Rules: Follow all safety rules and methods so that you and your co-workers have a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Experience: First experience of farming or agriculture is preferred, especially driving tractors or heavy machinery. But people with a passion to learn can also apply.
- Skill: Recommended to drive heavy machinery with confidence and accuracy.
- Physical Ability: Physical ability to work in different weather conditions, such as hot and dusty environment.
- Licence: Valid driver’s licence is a must. Having a license for heavy vehicles is a benefit but not a requirement.
- Team and Commitment: Excellent team work and advice on how to communicate clearly with supervisors and colleagues.
- Passion for Work: Trustworthiness, punctuality, and a desire to deliver good work under final deadlines.
